Capt. Scotty Roe Fishing Charters offers a variety of seasonal guided fishing experiences that depart from Port Charlotte. Backcountry fishing is where you want to be to get away from the water traffic and to chase quality fish. Anglers will be fishing shallow water grassy flats and around mangrove islands where all the big fish are. All fishing charters will be fishing in the tranquil Peace River, Myakka River, and in the Port Charlotte Area. Captain Scotty is a full time Port Charlotte fishing guide that will help you locate and catch a variety of fish. The main target species are Redfish, Snook, Trout, and Snapper. Luckily redfish are available year around so we target that prized fish anytime the weather is safe to go out. Snook is a delicious fish to eat that has a silver pew with a black line through their side. The best time for snook fishing is spring through fall because they prefer the warmer waters. Mangrove Snapper may be small in comparison to redfish and snook, but they are strong fighters for their size. They are the best eating fish that we catch in this area. Trout that swim our waters are commonly available and can be caught year-round.
ABOUT CAPT. SCOTTY ROE
Capt. Scotty Roe was born on June 6, 1974 in Dayton, Ohio. He moved to Charlotte County Florida in 1981. Capt. Scotty Roe grew up in the Charlotte Harbor area, more specifically off of Spring Lake. During his child hood years, his father had shared knowledge on fishing. Capt. Scotty then took that knowledge even further. He took it so far that in 1996 he opened up his own charter business!
Capt. Scotty passion for fishing is still very much alive and well! He spent the majority of his time in the fishing business. He spent many years with friends and family doing charters and tournaments. Capt. Scotty is an expert fishermen! Just ask friends and family! Capt. Scotty has placed in the top five of many tournaments.
Today, Capt. Scotty has still got it! He is currently rocking a 1997 Bobby Hewes with a new 115 Yahama SHO! He recently overhauled it! Runs like brand new! He just waiting to put you out on the water and share his passion of fishing with you!
